Many of my favorite stories in the bible, as a child, revolved around Joseph and Daniel with how God spoke to them and used them to impact their world to advance His plan for Israel and the world. It always amazed me at how the Lord spoke to these young men in thought their dreams and the dreams of others. What was even more amazing to me was how He gave them the interpretation, understanding and the application of the dreams along with the strategies that changed cultures and even saved the nations.

Growing up in a conservative evangelical church, I was never taught the value of dreams today and that God still speaks through them. But God is the same today as He was yesterday as He will be forevermore. So, once my dream life opened back up I knew I needed to seek out someone that was gifted with interpretation. Quickly, the Lord brought me a spiritual momma who knew the voice of Holy Spirit, especially in dreams. As I would tell her my dreams, she heard the voice of the Lord and when she spoke what Holy Spirit was telling me in my dreams…it fit like a glove and penetrated my heart.

Holy Spirit used my spiritual mother to teach me the gift of interpretation. They never taught me a formula or went to the dictionary to piece it all together first. I was taught “Is not God the one who give the interpretation” Genesis 40:8, and that He is my first go to in hearing the message that is interwoven in my dreams. And still to this day, I go to Him first and train others to do the same.

I love seeing other brothers and sisters in Christ step into the knowledge that God is speaking to them in their dreams. It is also just as impactful when they realize they can, and do, hear His voice and are able to step into interpreting their dreams as well as the dreams of others.

Jake Bullard is a prophetic voice gifted with dream interpretations, words of knowledge and prophetic messages. He has a passion to see the body of Christ live in the awareness of their God-given identity and to walk in the fullness of knowing who they are in Christ and who He is in them. Jake also carries a unique ability to teach, train and equip others in the prophetic, especially with dream interpretations. He and his wife, Rachel, have three boys and live in the metro Atlanta area and serve in several capacities in their church.
